Organic SEO

Organic SEO

SEO stands for search engine optimisation.  It is the process of optimising your website’s search engine performance, or ensuring that it ranks higher on the search engines for the searches of your choice.

There are of course many search engines (too many to list), although the most well known are Google, Yahoo, Bing etc.  The most well used is Google.  Your website will most likely be brought up by these search engines when people type in certain search phrases (referred to as key phrases) that relate to some part of your website.  Where your site appears in the results that the search engine generates is known as its ranking or position.

Paid and Organic Listings

Generally speaking there are two sorts of listings that you can have on a search engine results page: (1) Paid, and (2) Organic or natural listings.

Paid listings are so called because you pay Google (or the relevant search engine) on a pay per click basis to be in that position.  You usually appear on the right hand side or at the top in a highlighted box.

Organic or natural listings are unpaid positions in search engine results.  You appear simply because your website is picked up by the search engine’s algorithm.  It is referred to as organic or natural because it is your website’s natural or organic positioning by the search engine.  All websites have one – even if they are paying to come up in a paid listing position.

The main benefits of appearing on the first page of a search engine organically or naturally is that you incur no cost for being in that position.  You do not pay each time somebody clicks on your url or visits your site.   You may have paid an SEO company to get your in that position, unless you are lucky enough to appear there without help.

We offer a complete search engine optimisation campaign for your website. Our aim is simply to get your website to the first page of the major search engines for the key phrases of your choice.  We can improve your organic or natural search engine position.

How do we do it?

We use a number of techniques to achieve this result, including:

  • Key word research and analysis
  • Sophisticated targeted back-link campaigns
  • Submission to and listing on online directories (capped at up to 1000 listings)
  • Content driven article submission to online directories and social media
  • Website engineering for optimum search engine performance, including:
  • Link checking
  • Meta-tag inclusion
  • Search spider and search bot direction
  • Content engineering
  • Complete site analysis

What process do we follow?

Key word research and analysis

Firstly we speak to you about the things you would like to get your website found for e.g. the jobs you do, what you would perhaps like to do or get found for on the internet in the future.

Secondly, we go away research the best key words and phrases to use for your campaign, based on what you have said you want to get found for.

Thirdly, we give you a written report of the key words and phrases we recommend you use for your campaign. You can adopt this recommendation, or select your own key phrases.

Written Quotation

Once your key phrases are agreed upon, we will then provide you with a written quotation of the cost to get your website on the first page of Google for those key phrases.

We will also give an estimation of the length of time this is likely to take.

The cost will be given as a one-off cost – to get you on the first page of Google.

Pay on results!

You only pay for this service in full when you are on the first page of Google. Until then, we ask you to pay only 50% of the cost, with the balance payable on success of your campaign i.e. when your website appears on the first page of Google.

When your website is on the first page of Google, you will pay the balance of the cost, until then, you will pay nothing.

Monitoring

We will monitor all aspects of your website’s performance. We will provide you with monthly reports and figures showing the results of your SEO campaign, from the number of unique daily visitors to the Google score for your site’s performance.

Most importantly you will be able to see your position on Google yourself when you type in your chosen key phrases.

This aspect of your results is very important because forms the basis of the agreement between us.

FAQ’s

Q: How many key phrases can I choose?

A: We recommend that you target no more than 10 initially. But, you can choose as many as you like, there is no limit. The cost we quote is broken down per key phrase, so you can make a choice of which to optimise. Obviously it costs more to optimise 100 key phrases then just 10 key phrases taken from that 100.

Q: How long does it take?

A: There is no answer to this, it depends entirely on the key phrases you choose. If for example you want to get found as a plumber in the town you live in and you live in a small town with very few plumbers, the likelihood is, quite quickly. If you live in a large town with many plumbers, it is likely to take longer. Our quote will provide an estimate per key phrase.

Q: Can you give a ball park figure of cost?

A: Again, this depends entirely on the key phrases you choose. It is impossible to give an exact price, it is better to wait for the written quote for exact prices.

Q: What if I get 1000 clicks per month, do I pay more?

A: Unlike Google pay per click, NO. Our cost calculation has the benefit that even if you get double the number of average clicks in a month (during busy times of the year), you will only pay a one-off cost.
